Praying for Needs Here and Around the World
The Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Ministry has the privilege of praying for the needs of many individuals from all over the world as well as those in our Second Family. We are the first point of contact for deaths or emergency hospitalizations upon which we quickly alert a pastor for immediate response.
Pray for Others
The Online Prayer Room provides approved volunteers with the opportunity to pray over requests from all of our campuses while doing so from the location of their choice. It offers a personalized prayer experience such as setting preferences for the types of needs, praying for those in your class or group, or optional background music.
Online Intercessor Registration
To join the Prayer Ministry as a volunteer who prays with and for the needs of others, you must first have a mySBC Life account. To create an account, click below.
It's Time to Be Still
An app that helps you develop a structured and consistent prayer time
Be Still is an app to help you stay focused on God’s purpose for your life. Just as God reminded the people of Israel in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God,” we too are to stop depending on our best efforts. We need to take a break from the fast pace of modern life and refocus on God’s personal call and purpose for our lives.
Be Still focuses on four disciplines: prayer, reading, journaling, and goal setting.
Currently only available for Mac OS in the App Store.
We are most efficient when we receive your prayer request by email for both non-emergency and emergency requests (deaths and hospitalizations).
If you do not have immediate access to email, please call the 24 Hour Prayer Line at 713.932.PRAY (7729) or submit your request online.
Please enter your prayer request below. All requests are kept confidential and are seen only by our prayer ministry staff and trained prayer intercessors. We respect the privacy of your personal information and do not distribute, sell, or publish it. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to bring your request(s) before God.
