A STORY OF IMPACT FROM CHRIST CLINIC

For years, Maria* carried more than the weight of a medical diagnosis. The uncertainty of unanswered health concerns, the financial burden of being uninsured, and the fear of not knowing where to turn had become part of everyday life. Like so many in the community, access to quality healthcare felt out of reach. 

Then, God opened a door. 

When Maria walked into Christ Clinic, it wasn’t just another doctor’s appointment. It was the beginning of a journey marked by compassion, healing, and hope. What began as a search for medical care became an encounter with the love of Christ through people who were willing to listen, serve, and walk alongside her every step of the way. 

For more than 25 years, Christ Clinic has been extending the healing ministry of Jesus by providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to uninsured and underinsured individuals and families throughout the Greater Katy and Houston area. Every patient who walks through the doors is treated with dignity because every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. 

At Christ Clinic, healthcare is about more than treating illness. The physicians, nurses, counselors, pharmacists, and volunteers care for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Every exam room becomes an opportunity to share hope, offer prayer, and remind someone that they are not forgotten. 

As Maria received the medical care she needed, something even greater began to happen. Fear slowly gave way to peace. Isolation was replaced with community. Through every appointment, every conversation, and every prayer, God was writing a story of restoration. 

Today, Maria reflects on Christ Clinic as more than the place where she received healthcare. It is where she experienced the love of Christ in a tangible way. The healing she found reached far beyond medicine—it restored hope.

Last year alone, thousands of patient visits represented opportunities to meet people in moments of vulnerability with excellent medical care, genuine compassion, and the life-changing hope of the Gospel. Whether helping someone manage diabetes, recover from illness, access affordable medications, receive counseling, or simply know they are seen and valued, every interaction reflects Christ’s love in action. 

Jesus’ earthly ministry was marked by compassion for those who were hurting. He healed the sick, welcomed the forgotten, and met both physical and spiritual needs. That same calling continues today through the faithful work of Christ Clinic and Second’s partnership in this mission.
