Disaster Relief | Convoy of Hope
When disaster strikes, people are often left facing unimaginable loss and uncertainty. For years, Second Baptist Church has responded by serving those in need and sharing the hope of Christ amid difficult circumstances. Through our partnership with Convoy of Hope, that reach extends even farther.
Just last summer, our church family responded to the devastating Hill Country floods through Hope for the Hills. This past year, when powerful earthquakes struck Venezuela, we were able to respond in a different way. Although we could not send a team from Second, Convoy of Hope connected with our missionary in the region and local churches on the ground, providing medical kits and essential supplies to help them care for their communities.
Even when we cannot be there ourselves, our partnership with Convoy of Hope allows us to respond. In the midst of one of the worst disasters in the country’s history, our church and our partners were able to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We look forward to the ways God will continue to use this partnership to meet immediate needs, strengthen local churches, and build His Kingdom.
