SECOND FAMILY MISSIONARIES
The following people are members or former members of Second Baptist that have been called to the Mission Field.  Please have your classes pray for them or “adopt a missionary” to pray for once a month.

BRIAN & ASHLEY BUNDY – ANTIOCH MINISTRIES- WACO, TX
Brian and Ashley Bundy are back in Texas! After helping with a church plant in Turkey they return with Antioch Ministries to Waco, TX. Brian works full time with the Church Planting office and their hearts still desire to see churches planted in nations of the world who have not heard the Gospel. Their desire now is to serve Antioch’s missionaries in every way they can and help them succeed in their own church planting endeavors.

CHRIS & LAURA BURTON – CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST- OKLAHOMA
As staff members with Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Oklahoma, they are committed to reaching college students because they believe that they are a strategic resource for reaching the entire world for Jesus Christ. Their heart is that every student would have the opportunity to say “yes” to Jesus.

Through the work of their ministry, they build relationships with students in one-on-one settings, small group Bible studies, weekly meetings and campus-wide outreaches. When students leave college, they leave carrying a message... and they want them to leave carrying the message of Jesus Christ.

BILL & LINDA EUBANKS - NAVAJO MISSIONS-NEW MEXICO
Bill and Linda Eubanks operate a Biblical counseling center for Navajo children and their families. Their areas of concentration are: seminars on family life, a radio call-in talk show called "Hope for the Hurting," and a 'play therapy room' for the children.

JOSH & ELLEN HOWELL – INTERVARSITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP- HOUSTON , TEXAS
Josh and Ellen work with students at the University of Houston and lead them in bible studies and on mission trips.

DOUG & LORI KOTHE- SMI- MISSOURI
Doug and Lori work on building relationships with those in their community who are "unreached" for the gospel.  Once Doug & Lori have met and built relationships with these people in their community they seek to disciple them and help them grow in an everlasting relationship with the Lord.

ANDREA & JAMES JOHNSON- CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST- DALLAS, TEXAS
James and Andrea were just married in September and Andrea joined James in the Dallas area.  They are seeking out men and women for one-on-one and couple-on-couple discipleship in a spiritual mentoring process.

ERIC & APRIL NELSON- CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST- OHIO
Eric and April Nelson minister to athletes through Athletes in Action (AIA) with Campus Crusade for Christ in the Ohio area. Through this incredible ministry they are able to minister to many young men and women about the good news of Jesus Christ! Eric and April have two children and enjoy the calling that God has placed on them as coaches and mentors.

JOHN & JANE RAY – YWAM- ARKANSAS
John and Jane Ray work with the International Mission Network Center of Youth With A Mission (YWAM). John and Jane train and prepare missionary candidates, lead short term outreaches and are involved with planting works in areas of the world considered hostile to the gospel. John and Jane have four daughters: Hope Elizabeth is eight years old, Hannah Jane is six years old, Naomi Faith is two years old, and Olivia Noel is four months old.

GARY & MARGARET ROGERS - VERMONT
Gary and Margaret Rogers help pastor The North Pownal Congregational Church in North Pownal, Vermont and are currently starting a prayer ministry. They have one daughter, Sharon.

KEVIN & NANCY SULLIVAN - WASHINGTON
A short time ago, Second Baptist MarriedLife Pastor Kevin Sullivan and his family moved to the South Hill community, a suburb of Seattle, Washington. He is now the head pastor of High Pointe Community Church. They began their church in 2000 where they met in an elementary school. Now, 5 years later they have grown to over 500 in attendance with a new 550 seat auditorium. High Pointe Community Church continues to dream big and trust God in seeing the spiritual landscape of South Hill and beyond the changed for God’s glory.

MR. & MRS. JACK THOMPSON – CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST- KATY, TEXAS
The Thompson's are ministering to the Texas area by being involved in the Jesus Video Project.

  
Missionaries Abroad

KARL AND JULIE BANNERT – INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD (IMB)- SERBIA
Karl, Julie, and their three children are working with the International Mission Board in building relationships with Serbians so they can know how to have a relationship with Christ.

JUSTIN AND MICHELLE CUSTER- CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST (CCC)-HUNGARY
Justin and Michelle currently serve in Budapest through Campus Crusade for Christ. They are currently teaching the children of missionaries at the International Christian School. This plays a key role in spreading the Gospel to Europe and throughout the world.

DR. KENDRICK KAHLER - PHNOM PENH , CAMBODIA
West Point graduate and platoon leader Kendrick Kahler was planning his military career when one of his Jeep’s tires blew out while on assignment in Egypt, injuring his spinal cord and changing his career and spiritual goals forever. Kendrick graduated from medical school in Galveston and then "God called him out of private practice by intensifying a restlessness to serve as a doctor overseas". Through the Southern Baptist International Mission Board Kendrick has provided medical care in Bolivia, Thailand, and most recently in Cambodia. His goal is to share Christ daily within this Buddhist culture.

THOMAS & AMY KAY- HARVEST- ROMANIA
Thomas & Amy are equipped with a medical degree and teaching degree but most importantly they are ready to share Jesus with all they come in contact with in the hospitals and neighborhoods. They are very much involved with orphans that are left in hospitals for long periods of time.

STEVE & SHERRI LETCHFORD - KENYA
Steve was a medical doctor in Zambia and he and his family are moving to Kenya this Fall. He will stay busy with hospital responsibilities and Sherri will continue to teach their children from home and help in any area that the Lord calls her to do. They have four children: Jessica, Thomas, Hannah, and Daniel.

SHEILA MOODY- IMB- LATVIA
She is a part of the Baltic Russian language team with Pastor Peter Samoylich of the local church in Latvia.

MARK & SUE NEWTON - KENYA
As a doctor specializing in anesthesiology, Dr. Mark Newton makes this service his life's calling as a medical missionary based in Kenya. He treats patients with diseases like malaria, river blindness and those with injuries like the young boy who lost three fingers while playing with a live grenade. Mark's wife Sue main responsibility is as Mom to their four children. She also finds some time to serve as a physical therapist.

JAMES OILAR- FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES- COLOMBIA
James builds teams of athletes for tournaments in South America in order to share the gospel with them… through Sports evangelism ministries these kids have an opportunity to know Christ.

GARY & KATHY RAMEY-IMB-LATVIA
Gary & Kathy have are working with a Baltic Russian Language Team and are planting new churches to reach every Russian speaker in Latvia, Lithuania, and Kaliningrad.

MARGIE RANDALL- IMB – THAILAND
Margie works in Thailand as a prayer partner for her team and also is very involved in putting packets together to give out to various tourists that visit her area. These packets contain helpful information to those who question about Jesus and it also gives them an opportunity to accept Christ as their personal Savior.

HERSCHEL & CHRISTINE ROTHCHILD-SIM- NIGERIA, AFRICA
Herschel and Christine serve in Youth Ministry with SIM in Jos, Nigeria. At Gidan Bege, “House of Hope”, they have opportunities to meet physical and Spiritual needs through the use of literacy and vocational training, providing food & clothing, shelter and love in order to build bridges for the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are able to reach out to several groups including orphans, street children, the blind, handicapped, lepers, poor, diseased and un-reached people groups.
