The Pastoral Care Ministry exists to serve our church family in a time of need.

Emergency Requests - 713.932.PRAY
If you know of an emergency hospitalization or death please call the Prayer Hotline at 713.932.PRAY (7729). Prayer ministry staff will be standing by to recieve your call or message and respond immediately.   
Hospital Visitation
Comprised of pastoral staff and volunteers who visit ill and injured church members and their immediate family in local hospitals. If you know of someone in a hospital, please call 713.932.PRAY.

To volunteer for Hospital Visitation, please complete our Volunteer Interest Registration.

If you need to visit someone in a hospital, download a complete list of Houston area hospitals and contact information.   
Second Gear
Offering automobile maintenance and repair ministry for single parent members of Second Baptist Church.


How it works:
  1. Opened for business Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm
  2. For single parents who are members of Second Baptist
  3. Call 713-365-3010 to schedule an appointment.
  4. You will be charged for parts and materials only. Labor is free when provided by our volunteers.

You will receive an honest evaluation of your mechanical problems and develop the skill necessary for ongoing maintenance.

How you can get involved:
  1. Volunteer!!! Yes - we need all who want to use their mechanical skills to make a difference to sign up to help!!!! Just go by the Volunteer Desk today and we will get you involved!
  2. Support this ministry by donating your car. Call the Business office for details.
  3. Pray for all involved in this new ministry!
  
Counseling
Counseling services are provided free of charge for our membership and for those who regularly attend Bible study and worship at Second Baptist Church.

These weekly or monthly meetings provide opportunities to share life's experiences and fresh ideas. Many are ongoing and remain open for new members throughout the year.
