The Practice of Baptism
For those seeking to be baptized, baptisms are scheduled weekly at each of our worship services. During a baptism an individual has the opportunity to share with the worshipping community their decision to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is a picture and an illustration—a symbolic act. It illustrates the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf and our subsequent faith in Him. It is not necessary for salvation but is strongly associated with salvation as it best illustrates our new identity with Jesus Christ.
How to be Baptized
At the conclusion of each of our worship services, the pastor will lead the congregation in a time of invitation. At that time, anyone who is interested in joining the church, getting baptized or making a profession of faith in Jesus Christ is asked to walk forward and visit with one of our New Member Team volunteers. At that time you may learn more and schedule a time for your baptism at one of our services.
Where to Go
Once you have scheduled your baptism, please arrive 30 minutes before the worship service in the Baptismal Suite which is located on the third floor of the Worship Center Building above the Music Offices. See our campus map for directions to the Worship Center Building.
