The Honduras trip completely revolutionized my understanding of the awesome power of the Holy Spirit. He connected the hearts, prayers and needs of the women in La Ceiba to our hearts in such a way that the very messages and lessons we prepared for the women's conference spoke directly to them, though we felt as if we prepared blindly, without having experience or knowledge of these women. Mission Trips 2010-2011

There are many opportunities to participate in a mission trip in 2010 or 2011. There are trips to locations within the continental United States as well as multiple trips to international destinations. The trips are designed with both single adults and families in mind. Trips focus on a variety of activities, including Vacation Bible School, community outreach, building projects, church planting and medical and/or dental services.

Mission Trip Application Process:

1. Click here to apply for a Mission trip.
2. Upon receipt of your application, an interview with be scheduled.
3. Once the interview has taken place and you have been approved to serve on a 2010/2011 team, you will receive confirmation of your acceptance, along with a packet of information on how to build a team for financial and prayer support, the cost of the trip, trip guidelines and expectations, and a sample support letter.
4. Within 14 days of your approval, a $200 non-refundable deposit is due in the Missions' Office. This deposit will secure your airline ticket for the trp.
5. After your deposit has been received, your name and contact information will be given to the trip leader who will contact you regarding mandatory training dates and other important trip details.

This will be a medical and evangelism effort working with orphans and poor of the city of Kathmandu.

Dallas- TRIP IS FULL

There are children around the world who will be given a new pair of shoes and socks through Buckner Orphan Care International. This is a family-friendly trip to help sort and box the shoes before shipping.

Damascus, Syria
April 17-27, 2010

This team will provide medical attention, food, clothing and counseling, for Iraqi war refugees temporarily housed in Damascus. Our teams continue to work with our ministry partner, Jesus of Nazareth Church.

This is a church-planting trip. We will be working daily in door-to-door evangelism and participating in late afternoon worship services.

Farmington, New Mexico

We are partnering with Navajo Ministries this summer to provide VBS, community projects and light repairs to the headquarters of Navajo Ministries.

Wyoming
June 19-25, 2010
VBS, evangelism and light repair will be the focus of this trip to Boyd Avenue Baptist Church in Casper, Wyoming.

Honduras

This will be an evangelism and discipleship effort in schools, parks, churches and homes in around La Ceiba. Second is partnering with World Hope in this country.

Cambodia

This is our 5th year to return to Cambodia. This team will focus on ESL, Bible study, VBS and special events for orphans and young adults in the country outside of Kompong Thom.

This is our 6th year to work with the children and staff of the Casa Hogar Allegre Orphanage. We will serve 120 orphans through VBS, special events for the children and light repair and maintenance of the orphanage.

This is a church-planting trip. We will be working in door-to-door evangelism and also providing leadership training for local churches and pastors.

Second will be partnering with All Nations to establish a training and outreach community in Cape Town. This team will be built around professionals who would like to share their knowledge and business skills in an evangelistic context.

Second Baptist Church is partnering with Amazon Outreach to serve native communities on the Amazon River. The team will spend the week on a large river boat providing medical care, evangelism, and discipleship opportunities.
