Houston Theological Seminary was launched last year in partnership with Houston Baptist University.

Everyone is invited to participate. Classes will be offered to part-time or full-time students in pursuit of a graduate degree, as well as available for survey to those seeking knowledge of God and the Bible minus the tests and term papers for a nominal fee. However you choose to participate, we want to challenge you to go deeper in your relationship with God and dive further into His Word.

We now offer two graduate degrees. The Master of Divinity is an integrated approach to Christian theological graduate education. This 72-hour degree program focuses on personal spiritual formation and practical experience in ministry settings in addition to more traditional classes to prepare you for serving in a church or para-church ministry. The Master of Arts in Christian Leadership is a 36-hour graduate program. Building upon the core elements of biblical and theological knowledge, it focuses on developing your leadership skills in Christian ministry, in whatever setting God leads you.

This fall, two classes will be open to surveyors. “Survey of the Gospels” will be taught on Tuesday nights by Dr. Craig Evans, one of the foremost experts on New Testament. An extended weekend seminar with Lee Strobel, author of “The Case for Christ” and “The Case for Faith,” will also be offered November 2-4, where Lee will teach how to naturally and effectively share your faith.

Classes begin at the end of August on the Second Baptist Woodway, West, and North Campuses.
