Bible Study for Children Grades 1-3:
Learning to Know, Love and Follow Jesus

Children learn God’s truth in ways that influence wise choices and actions.  Bible study lessons are designed to encourage them to apply the Bible to their daily lives.  The key learning points are reinforced in JUMP each week!

The Belt of Truth reminds us to Stand on God's Truth. The Breastplate of Righteousness reminds us to Stand on God's Path. The Helmet of Salvation reminds us of the assurance of God's Plan, and the Shoes of the Gospel of Peace remind us to always Stand on God's Plan. The Sword of the Spirit is the offensive weapon that allows us to Stand on God's Word. The Shield of Faith is the Christian's first line of defense against temptation. When we put on the full armor of God, we can stand firm. In other words, we will be able to make choices that honor God in everything we do, even when it is hard.

Date: May 26

Main Point: Stand Firm (Shield of Faith)

Bible Story: Hall of Faith

Memory Verse: Ephesians 6:10-11
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil."
