Wounded Women: Mended Hearts

Wounded Women: Mended Hearts is for women whose marriages are plagued by sexual betrayal. Through care and guidance, women learn step by step how to mend from their devastating loss. In the company of other women who understand the pain of betrayal, participants gain a sense of clarity, direction, and confidence; and they develop the understanding and skills to confront, set nonnegotiable boundaries, manage their feelings and behaviors, avoid preoccupation with their husband’s problems, practice forgiveness, let go of the uncontrollable, talk to their children appropriately, make healthy decisions regarding their marriage, deal with shame and secrets, depend on God, and make positive changes derived from esteem and integrity.

Women gain a sense of hope knowing that God is in control of their future.

This group is open to the community.

Relationship Rehab

Open to women who struggle with boundary issues, self esteem issues, and past or present relationship difficulties

This group study addresses learned and deeply ingrained behaviors which lead to the intense urge to control people by fixing their problems or addictions. This tendency is usually based on a lack of fulfillment in the participant’s own need for love and security. Struggling with the inability to see things as they really are and to say what is really meant, feeling isolated and afraid of people—especially authority figures, placing extreme value on other people’s approval to the point of losing their own God-given identity, and learning to effectively manage an overdeveloped sense of responsibility are typical topics of discussion. In addition, potentially problematic emotions such as hurt, anger, guilt, fear, and loneliness are commonly addressed.

Parents of Prodigals

Parents of Prodigals lends encouragement and support to parents who are dealing with children who have strayed from Christian values.

Cypress Career Connections

The group is dedicated to supporting individuals between jobs or changing careers. Meetings are informal and combine updating job search skills, mentoring and assistance making career connections. We meet on the second Sunday of every month.
